The 2022 IPEP HSN Student-run Workshop is a fun and practical workshop, giving you the opportunity to be exposed to some of the unique skills that healthcare providers use to deliver their branch of healthcare. The theme this year will be ‘Management of Accidents’.
**This event is FREE and food and drinks will be provided!**
Everyone will rotate around to different stations so you get a taster of what these disciplines can do. Disciplines include Medicine, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Nursing, Optometry and Music therapy.
By learning skills from other health disciplines, we hope to increase awareness of each other’s role in patient care and foster a mutual appreciation of the unique skills that each profession brings!
There will be five stations this year.
1) Nursing + Physiotherapy: Aseptic Technique for Wound Dressing
2) Medicine: Wound Management and Surgical Suturing
3) Optometry: Ophthalmoscopy
4) Dentistry: Mandibular Fractures and Their Management
5) Music Therapy: Iso principle as practitioner self care
Location: The Clyde Hotel, 385 Cardigan St, Carlton VIC 3053
Time: 6:00pm-8:30pm Tuesday 29th March 2021
